First not to notice, then to think it something else... Mitsukuni, was I just letting him suffer, as you once did with your tooth ache? Am I allowing him to simply suffer, while I just stand here and do nothing?
*Committed to the motion Mori didn't hesitate for even a moment in reaching for the man, even after it was obvious the man was not falling.*
If it were you here, hiding your illness from me, pretending to be ok for so long, I know what I would do.
*It never even entered Mori's mind to release the grip he kept on the man's arm.*
What I must do... if it were you.
*He kept his grip as firm and as steady as the one he used with his practice sword every morning. His expression ever set and serious*
Why, in your absence, should I treat this man any differently?
*Having decided on a course of action (no matter what the man himself may have to say about it) Mori allowed the man to pull himself to be pulled forward and downward as his charge sought a better balance, letting the motion mask his own. Just like his cousin in this sort of situation, he suspected the man would not allow what he intended to.*
*Mori dropped himself below what appeared to be the man's center of gravity, wrapped his left arm around the man's mid section and began to leaver him over his left shoulder with every intention of carrying him bodily to this 'hospital wing', where he suspected people were gathering to seek medical attention in this virus ridden school.*
[[Hehe, I was not expecting any of that when I started writing... ^^; And somehow Mori still has no idea the man's a vampire... PS italics = thoughts :P ]]
*Paul was startled when Mori dropped down and attempted to lift him, he growled and finally let himself shift the rest of the way to his true nature*
Damn it! *snarls, digs his claws into the boy's shoulders viciously, bringing one leg up and bracing his knee on Mori's chest and pushing off, gaining enough room to squirm back, just wanting enough room to bite him, not worrying for now about making the boy let go. That would happen if he was successful anyway, once the boy was was weak enough, he wouldn't have any choice. Paul grinned at the thought*
*Mori knew he should have been able to lift this man easily. But somehow it had failed. And as suspected the man had no intention of being carried off.*
*Mori noticed in the back of his mind that the man's grip on his shoulders had become painful, but did not let it distract him from his goal, tightening his grip he continued his efforts.*
*The man placed his right knee upon Mori's chest and pushed hard, gaining himself some distance from Mori's grip and preventing Mori from trying to lift him again... at least in this manner.*
*abandoning his former tactic Mori let go of the man's waist, spontaneously using his previously free right hand to lock the man's left arm to where it rested on (/dug into?! No time to think about it now...) his right shoulder into place*
*Mori looked up to gauge how well his charge was holding up, not wanting to be rougher the the man than was absolutely necessary, only to finally see what it was he had been dealing with the entire time---*
Kyuuketsuki! [[No he's not swearing, it's apparently Japanese for vampire. Mori was in fact Japanese. But could speak english quite well due to his family's many dealings with foreigners. (reading and writing he's only passable at his current state)]]
*Mori's eyes widened. Now unsurprised his former tactics hadn't not worked.*
[[Yeah they are ^^ And finally Mori figures out what the 'illness' is... ooohh such a cliff hanger! XD]]
*Paul growled as he shoved more forcefully away from Mori, trying to get leverage even as he dig his claws in deeper, he very nearly paused at the strange word the boy said, but instead of puzzling it out then he filed it away to ponder over later, ideally after Mori was unconscious or elsewhere*
Quit trying to fuckin' pick me up! *he growls all the more, the slight scent of blood coming from the boy making him all the more hungty and determined*
*Mori put pondering why the creature had waited so long before attacking out of his mind, along their previous conversation where the creature had actually seemed a decent person*
*Only the fight mattered now*
*Mori pulled on the arm he had anchored (previously mean to keep his 'charge from getting away) stepping back with his right, while driving his left fist up and across the creatures jaw with a blow powerful unsought to send any human into unconsciousness*
*Mori, however, was not going to make the mistake of judging this creature based on mortal standards again. Quickly following up after his strike Mori the thing's arm and made a grab for the thing's throat, with a grip that could have crushed a human's windpipe in moments (wait did this thing even breathe?)*
[[Yup ^^ And now Mori is actually starting to fight. Though still fumbling through which moves would actually work and which might just be completely ineffective :P]]
Don't-- *any further words were abruptly cut off and forgotten when the boy punched him, he growled and shook his head, dizzy from the force of it, and cursing that he hadn't thought about the face that some strange kid in a place like this might actually know how to fight*
*Paul hadn't wanted to hurt the kid any more than required, hell, he had wanted to be nice about it, usually he was careful to leave nice neat marks... unless he really didn't want to, then he could make a real mess of people, but he hadn't wanted to before, and he wasn't sure if that had changed yet*
*but about the time Mori grabbed a hold of his throat, he changed his mind a bit, the damn kid really seemed to know what he was doing, and though Paul didn't have to breathe, he really didn't like not, and worse yet, he couldn't speak when that happened, he cursed mentally and now intentionally dug his claws into the boys left shoulder very forcefully, hoping to at least make him notice, he coughed uncomfortably in spite of the tight grip Mori had on his throat, if the damn kid actually hurt him, it would be a bitch to heal and would wind up making his blood thurst much worse*
*he vaguely considered shoving the kid away from him and running off, but he knew that, too would hurt like hell with the grip the kid had on his throat, but then it occurred to him, he didn't need to breathe, but the boy did. He dug his claws a bit more deeply into the boy's left shoulder and then shifted his grip on the boy's other shoulder to mimic the Boy's own move, but being mindful of his own strength, he still didn't yet want the boy dead, but he was no longer concerned over hurting him as he tightened his grip slightly, hoping to cut off the boy's air as he slowly started digging his nails into the boy's throat, not enough to hurt too badly, just minor cuts, really... that is, unless the boy jerked back for some reason all of a sudden, that would probably be very bad. But Paul no longer fully cared. He was dizzy and starting to get a headache from all this... But it had been a while since he got a chance to have any fun like this*
[[XD LoL, I could tell ya what might work, but that's cheating XP. *laughs* Still really fun though. Whee ^^ ... sadly most people on here seem to shy away from 'action' type stuff, but it's really fun! LoL]]
*The strangle seemed to effect his opponent, and for a few moments seemed to work. But then the creature dug his claws into one of his shoulders even deeper... but only one*
*Mori's grip let up ever so slightly as he realized that it was only partially effective. Even in this strangle hold it could still think clearly enough to make such a decision. The creature gave a small cough*
*It was only a matter of time before the creature found some way to---*
*sharp claws dug into Mori's throat.*
It's stronger than I am. I can't last like this. Think now before it's too late!
*Mori brought his free left hand to meet the one on his throat, gripping it in a hold he would normally use to peal off such an attack. The man's hand tightened and began to suffocate him just as Mori's own latched onto it. There would be only one chance at this. And it HAD to be quick*
*Instead of pealing the hand off as the controlling grip was meant to be used (a move which he didn't have the strength to do even if those claws wouldn't take part of his throat with them), Mori braced his forearm against the man's own. Mori was starting to shake. There was no more time. He would just have to deal with whatever happened to the shoulder later.* *he wouldn't be able to think, even sluggishly much longer! This move had to work, even if only in part!*
*Mori pulled against the upward force inherent to the sort of strangle hold his opponent had him in. Quickly he used the arm to pull himself off the floor, pushing off with his legs so his body turned to the left. All the left turning force his legs could provide (since his arm and throat had taken care of what would have been the upward jump) he channeled into a kick aimed at the hollow just below the man's breast bone (where a combination of the ribs not quite reaching far enough to cover it and there being less innate muscle there than anywhere else on the currently strike-able torso left it vulnerable to this sort of attack) and a punch aimed at the upper arm, just above where Mori was bracing himself against the forearm.*
*With any luck the combination Mori's full weight and the kick would send them both to the floor.* *With any luck a vampire's joints were as relatively vulnerable as they were to humans, and the combination of Mori's weight bracing (and being brace by) the upper arm and his punch would dislocate the elbow. Or at least strain it enough to make the creature let go.* *With some sorely needed luck Mori WOULDN'T release the hand and allow the claws to move and thus taking out his throat. (He used whatever sense of mind he had left to concentrate on that one!)* *And finally with some very unlikely luck Mori's kick would have shattered the weak end of a rib doing who knows what kind of damage but that one was (while remotely possible) VERY UNLIKELY*
*the dice had been rolled. If only it was enough that he could get back to that suit of armor he had passed by earlier.*
[[Lol, yeah, well thankfully I have enough grappling/other martial arts experience to come up with workable details like this. And Mori also does ^w^ so I get to use it!!!! Man but it takes a lot to write it out though....
Oh PS. the hollow under the breastbone thing I actually didn't learn from martial arts.... rather from a CPR course where they warned us to specifically to stay away from it because we might shatter a rib (which could in turn puncture something like the lungs or anything else in that general area) @.@ it's amazing what you can learn about how to hurt people when you're trying to learn how to save their lives!!!!
Ah, and PPS Mori is even more capable when you put a sword in his hands (thus the suit of armor line).... though unfortunate I only have a passing knowledge of that particular art T_T I NEED TO FIND A GOOD KENDO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!]]
*Paul was pretty caught up in what he had been doing, carefully tightening his grip on Mori's throat, while trying not to severely damage him, so he was caught off guard when the boy managed to lift himself and kick him. Paul yelped in pain and cursed loudly as the pain from it sparked through him, he tried to tighten his grip both on the boy's throat, as well as his shoulder (but really only managing to dig his claws a bit more firmly into the boy's shoulder), as he fell back, he very nearly considered trying to force it, but instead relented his grip on Mori's throat, but not on his shoulder, he dug his claws in a bit more in spite of the pain he was in, even as his grip was ripped away from the boy as they fell*
*Paul landed ungracefully, managing to land on the arm Mori had injured, and because of it very nearly not catching himself as he let out a pained cry, but the motion of taking a breath to cry out hurt! He hissed in pain and slowly tried to stagger to his feet, his injured arm held close to his chest*
*once on his feet, though quite unsteady, he quickly backed away from the boy. It wasn't often that he got hurt, short of one of his own causing the damage... He looked Mori over warily, licking the traces of blood from his fingertips and claws as he did*
*He had to think about it, mentally cursing to himself at great length even as he did, but after a moment he forced himself to change back to normal... It was the hardest thing he had ever done, both the decision and the changing... especially after what he had been through lately*
I told you I was fine... *his voice is rough with pain and hunger as he turns and stalks away* That means you should have left well enough alone! ... I just hope that because you had to fight it and make it all worse that it doesn't lead to the death of one of the girls or younger kids, because I now have to heal on top of everything else... *he shakes his head and curses, still walking, though a bit quicker after a brief pause to fight with his own nature, that is demanding he go back, that he not walk away from this. But after all he'd been through lately, he finally seemed to know when to get the hell gone.*
*though he really hoped that his parting words to the kid proved to be an idle threat... But he had never pushed himself like this before... And it always got worse when he as hurt. Healing took a lot of blood and energy*
[[O.O Woah, you has text!! O.O;; XD and Kendo is fun! ^^... LoL though on the note of the RP, good luck getting a sword from the armor, they tend to not wanna let go of 'em. XD >.> Yay, Action and chaos! ... *meek* only thing is, I had no idea what/how to go about this one... LoL I don't know much about any kind of 'real' fighting beyond basic 'survive the street' stuff... XD so this got a _bit_ awkward...]]
*After he had put all of his effort into his attack Mori left himself with far less strength as he had hoped. He felt unable to think, see, or do anything as he and the creature fell to the ground*
*The feeling of his shoulder being torn away, and shock of his body's solid impact with the ground (thankfully he had no 'wind' left to get knocked out of him) jerked him back to some of his senses. His vocal chords tried to let out a cry of pain his lungs didn't have the air left to support.*
*Dispite all his concentration on holding onto the hand at his throat, he had let go after his attack in the end... Yet (miraculously) his neck still seemed in one piece, and he was now completely disentangled from the creature.*
*As he propped himself up on his right (less painful to use) arm, and struggled to his knees, his breath slowly started to return to him and his head started to clear.*
*As he climbed slowly to his feet on bowed legs (knees closer together than normal for support) he saw the Vampire was already standing once more and did his best to prepare himself for another attack.*
*As he stood there knees bowed, shoulders slumped, breathing hard.... yet with arms kept slightly bent and ready, and eyes that never left his opponent the man's words drifted back to him as it (... no definatly he now) turned to stalk away* *There was no more Mori could do now even if he tried.*
*Now that the man was no longer looking he slumped to the floor, waiting for his strength to return and thinking over the man's parting words*
..............
*Mori didn't know how long he had stayed there kneeling on the floor thinking over what had just happened. Was he in the wrong for not simply letting it bite him? Confused and weary he felt responsible for whatever happened. If he had just not fought....*
*Mori picked himself up off the ground. If he really was a student here he would have kept a practice sword under his bed. That's what he had wanted to check on from the start. Now it seemed he would truly have need of it.* *And if it wasn't there... there were still the suits of armor*
*For however long this chaos lasted, Mori resigned himself to wandering the halls, doing whatever he could to protect those he found within them* *... And if ever he should come across this vampire again, do what he felt he should have done from the start. Hopefully before it was too late.*
[[Yeah that particular move was difficult to explain... and something I could sooooooo never pull off (being female and lacking a LOT of Mori's upper body strength) But I left a lot of reacting room with so it all workz in he end ^^
Now just to deal with the aftermath.
