"Uhh... Piper..?"

Paul stood there in the front room at Piper's house, looking confused and amused at a hastily opened box in his hands... David had given it to him before him and the others left for 'a little while' (Paul had grinned and declined going with them in favor of spending some time with piper where he wouldn't have to deal with their 'color commentary' on everything he did), and it had been set aside until just now when he remembered it, scribbled on the box had been the words "Max sends his best... 'N Merry Christmas."

There was an (annoyingly) tasteful Christmas card on the top of the white fluffy packing peanuts in the box, Paul pulled it out of the box and looked it over, it amused him to see slightly shimmery 'snow' flutter down to the ground, the card depicted a snowy forest with a reindeer standing in a field. Inside the card was the standard company printed "Happy Holidays!" message, but beneath that was the neatly written words "Hope you and your sweet young lady friend enjoyed the trip to Vegas. (You and I will 'discuss' that little excursion later, yes?) Though in the mean time, enjoy this little holiday gift... '75 is in fact better than '71."

Paul set the card aside on a table and started digging through the packing stuff, getting bit of amusement from sprinkling the floor with the foam packing material as he pulled out a slightly dusty green glass bottle, one that bore a very familiar label. He raised an eyebrow at it as he looked over the aforementioned label.
"Huh... '75... That guy has a WEIRD fondness for fancy Champagne... 'S actually a bit creepy how MUCH he knows about some of the different types... I swear, he's probably got a wine cellar under that house or some shit, probably collected bottles from everywhere he ever was..."

He pauses to ponder that fact, he'd have to ask David about it later... Then he went off to find Piper so he could show her.

late x-mas gift from family, ... huh..., champagne?, weird, wtf?
