*closes journal, and uncharacteristically sets it in the hotel's desk drawer, closing the drawer as if nothing happened... Though that seems to be his main focus at the moment, 'pretend nothing's wrong'... But at the same time, he's still tense about it*

*he sighs, standing up, then walking over to the door, he casts one last glance toward the bed but then opens the door and quietly lets himself out into the hall, padding silently down the hallway, he pauses at the door to the kids room, perhaps pondering weather or not he should at least tell them he plans on leaving for a bit, and may not be back till the following night... he glances toward the door to Vala's room and then without much more hesitation takes a few steps toward it*
