Dive Class Day 9 (Final Day!)

Jul 13, 2007 23:15

So, I slept in a bit later than usual before my dive class. Since today I usually play Trapt on Fridays that's what I did. The usual routine happen except my mom didn't have to change cars with my dad. Today was the last day of class for this session and there these kids that had Popsicles. Also since today was the last day I decided that I will do a dive!

We did our stretch and and we did our pencil diving first. It took me a few tries and I kept on just falling. I was thinking in my head, "Don't be a dork!" While I was waiting in line for my turn I was listening to the radio that was being played. There was this song that played and I liked it. The lyrics were just amazing! The song ended when it was my turn. As I began my position the lyrics of that song was going through my head. I leaned forward and I was bit scared but before I knew it I was in the water. I guess in order to achieve something all you have to do is turn your brain off. (Whatever that thing is.)

The class also had a cannonball competition. Our instructor told us whoever made the biggest splash would get an extra Popsicle. After a few kids went our instructor told us in order to make a big splash land in the water with your butt and not your feet. My younger sister and I did that and I won. I was going to say after we received our Popsicles that our instructor should just give my extra one to the runner up. I don't think it's fair for me to win when I'm so much older than most of those kids.

Anyways, after class was over our instructor told us to get our towels and go meet him bear the lifeguard hut. When I went to go get my towel all the adults were cheering for me. My mom told me that every time I went the adults would cheer me on. I didn't hear that because the diving board is on the opposite side and is far away. I will admit that I was a bit embarrassed but I was extremely happy!

My younger sister and I went to go get our Popsicles and they turned out to be Oder Pops. I don't really like them so I was going to give them to my brother. I was also going to give my extra one to someone else but everyone was gone by the time I finally received mine. When our instructor handed out our report card things. I was disappointed when I received mine and yet I knew it wasn't going to be great. I didn't pass the class and neither did my sister. It's odd because my younger sister can do ever dive except a back dive. I only had two check marks on my pick card and so I wanted to take another class but the next session for Intro to Dive was filled.

Since today was the last dive class and the last time I might be able to see my friend's sister, I decided to stay behind a bit and ask her a few things. I asked her if my friend has a cellphone and he does. She gave me the house phone number and I'll have to call but I'll most likely procrastinate until school starts. I also saw my other "sister." I forgot to ask her to return my book!

I then finally decided to leave and for some reason my younger sister kicked some lifeguard. She missed and so the lifeguard asked me to kick her back. I still have to get her.

My mom then went to go pick up my younger brother on his last day of summer school. When we arrived he was in a bad mood. At the time I thought he either flunk pre-algebra or he was cranky because he went to bed late on a school night. My mom stopped by a Wendy's to pick up some lunch. My younger brother was in a really bad mood and he slammed doors and he claimed that he wasn't hungry. We got our order and then went home. By the time we got there my mom had to go get my dad so he could tell my younger brother to behave or else. When I told everyone how I actually dive they were all proud! Except, they would have been more pleased if my younger brother wasn't being a brat!

As we were eating my mom and dad were discussing stuff about school. My younger brother didn't do much school work and he barely received a C-. When I went to summer school I took English and Pre-Algebra. English was cool because I had an awesome teacher and even though we didn't have too much grammar stuff we at least were able to read the assigned reading books. And in Pre-Algebra I applied what my teacher had taught me. Unfortunately my younger brother did not do the same thing. It changed a bit so now the so called summer class was more like a babysitting thing.

My mom was so upset that she didn't finish her hamburger nor her fries. She was going to eat the donut my dad brought but my older brother ate it! I also found out that my formal teacher has a girlfriend! When my mom asked what time it was she and my younger sister screamed. Apparently they were missing their precious General Hospital. I don't watch those programs so I don't know what they big fuss is all about.

I spent most of the day watching TV and drawing. There was a mini marathon of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide as well as The Grim Adventure of Billy and Mandy. It's such a shame those two shows had their SERIES finally! Anyway, I drew and stuff. Tomorrow I get to sleep in!

Wow, for being and "unlucky" day, today was pretty good.
