Relaxing Easter, Fulfilling Lent

Lent this year has been far more fulfilling than it ever has. I guess it's because I took on a challenge instead of giving up something. Perhaps with me taking on a challenge, I spent less time searching for loopholes around the thing I gave up. What I decided to do for Lent was to act like a good, Catholic college student.

I think I managed to complete my task quite well. I made time to do homework and somewhat study. I thought ahead of time and got my stuff done before the due date. Granted, I'm not perfect so I fell behind on a test, but it's all good. In a sense, though, I did gave up something. I gave up laziness, which is pretty hard considering how much of a sloth I am. Yep, out of the seven deadly sins, I am Sloth.

Easter was pretty relaxing. I went to go see Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules with my family. They all enjoyed it. I really like the book series and the movie was very good. I hope I can watch the first one on one of those movie channels.

Easter dinner was good. I ate ham and mashpotatoes. It felt good to drink soda again with dinner while at home. Most of my family gave up soda for Lent, so getting a can or bottle was difficult, well not really but I'd rather not waste money for a simple drink.

After dinner, we all wanted to go to Dairy Queen, but the place was closed. So, we went to Cold Stone. I feel a bit bad since that place is really expenisve. But it was so good!

I know I had ruined my eating habits a bit, but school is almost over. I'll focus once more on food as soon as I turn in my last test for finals... Or maybe the next day so I can party and celebrate for a much more relaxing semester.
