I spend $20 for THIS?!
Traditionally every pool designs and makes their own city pool t-shirts. Most of them are clever or just full of inside jokes. My pool was late last year so we didn't get a chance to get them. One of my co-workers drew a characater of our co-worker. While she was drawing it, many other people wanted her to draw them and that's how our staff shirt idea came about. Some people didn't like the idea of having an ugly characature with the quote, "IRONWOOD POOL, WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE" around it. I didn't mind mine, it was very simple with me having buck teeth... I don't know why but I did....
This discussion went on for awhile about what our staff shirts would look like. There were still people who didn't like the look of the shirt but no body had any creative ideas of what to have. So, majority ruled, and the shirt was decided. The cost of the shirt was around $15-$20 bucks. Some people wanted tank tops. The co-worker chosen for the job had gone to the store but the original guy was too impatient and bailed on us. So, she went to a new guy. He demanded the money right away. We were all told that shirts may possible be a light blue or tan. I was hoping for any color OTHER than white.
So we finally got our shirts..... They. Were. Crap...... They were all white shirts with black screen tones. What's worse is that they were uneven in black. Some shirts were more faded than others. The front was to be plain and the back was to be colorful like the rainbow... She felt REALLY bad because the shirts came out so crappy. And she was right. Of course, everyone was too nice and felt really guilty to say what was on their mind.....
*sigh* I gave $20 while almost everyone else gave $15. That was my graduation money. I could have used that for a How to Draw book with a coupon!
