He was still looking around, eyes peeled for the person he was meeting, when a different kind of movement caught his attention. Someone was making their way through the throng of dancing people, and though he couldn't immediately see her face at first, Shino had a good guess as to who it might be. While she was still a good distance off, she stepped into a break in the middle of the crowd, and he got the chance to admire her outfit from afar. She looked very good, admittedly, a sentiment that made Shino blink twice - no one would notice anyways. His eyes were what revealed his emotions, and those were covered up most all the time.

At the slight tug, he tilted his head downward, not really hearing a word she said, but seeing the way her lips formed over the single-syllable word, and figuring, by her gesture, that she was wanting them to escape the bar. Perfectly fine by him. He reached out his hand to take hers, hesitated a moment, then settled his long fingers into the grasp of her smaller hand, allowing her to drag him away from the glaringly loud music.

Dammit, she should have worn taller shoes. She hardly coasted the top of his shoulder. Mentally, she sighed and took his hand, holding it low so that she would be able to twist them through the crowd without losing him.

Tenten's fingers were a little warmer than Shino's she noticed when her fingers curled round his hand, while she took him back through the bouncing, gyrating dancers. She wasn't sure how they could hear the song, but the bass beat seemed to be giving them enough clue. Again, Tenten thanked whichever deity that listened to her for not giving her the rhythm for dancing to this, stuff. Her ears rang as they stepped off the dance floor, and then up through the rest of the people relaxing around the club.

By some stroke of good luck, whomever it had been sitting next to her at the corner of the bar had left, and a seat next to hers was open. Maybe this was the start of a luckier new year (but not for another few weeks, as far as her family and ninety-percent of Chinatown were concerned). "I'm glad you made it!" she said, leaning closer so that he could hear her once they'd sat down.
