[Thread] Hallowe'en Masquerade! [Open to: ALL! :D]
The auditorium had been made to look like many things in the past, but Tsunade surveyed the buntings and fripperies draping it tonight through a mildly inebriated haze and nodded to herself in satisfaction: Shizune had done good work. It probably helped that they had one of the world's best set designers on staff, too, now that she thought about it. Nigh-on every inch of the pace was covered in ghoulish design, from skulls and skeletons to bats and ghosts, to leering pumpkins and cackling witches astride ebony broomsticks. Somehow it even managed to look worthy of a Hallowe'en ball as opposed to some high school blue-light disco.
It had cost her a little more than she would have have liked, though Tsunade supposed that such was the prize of drunken inspiration. The kids seemed to be relatively excited about it, too, although she suspected many of them had plans to spike the punch and/or vandalise the place whilst bemasked. Oh, well. She'd probably do the same thing in their place. Actually...
"I saw that," she was informed in tut-tutting tones after the contents of a gin bottle had mysteriously made their way into the punch bowl. The Headmistress turned guiltily, tucking the now-empty bottle behind her back as she mustered up a failed attempt at an innocent smile in the face of Kurenai's disapproval. "And I'm telling Shizune!"
Damn. Honestly, it was like having two mothers. Tsunade pulled a martyred expression and wondered if she could distract the younger woman from her plans of tattling by throwing a large piece of caramel slice on the floor and making a getaway while she was preoccupied. However, even her infamous stubborn streak in the face of catastrophic odds didn't want to place a bet on this fantasy.
