Morning arrives with a distinct lack of throbbing as the doctor sprawled and tangled in the blankets on the bed cracks an eye open up peer sleepily around the room.

She lets her mind wander as she looks around the unfamiliar room, and as she goes over details of the previous night, she finds herself smiling widely.

The clock radio near the bed tells her its' 10 AM... soft music plays somewhere else inside the apartment, and the faint scent of food cooking, breakfast, can be noticed in the air.

With a stretch and a yawn, the woman begins untangling herself from the sheets and crawling out of bed.

Rising, she fishes a shirt from off the floor, that once pulled over her head comes almost to her knees, and Thirteen pads out of the bedroom to investigate the source of the music and cooking smell.

The music comes from downstairs, as the food scent. She can find the sound system in a large living room, and the way to the kitchen.

There, wearing only silk boxers and an apron, Scarlet is making breakfast. Hm, pancakes. "Good morning, dear..."

The previous night's memories rush back again in a flood, and the woman can't stop the smile the spreads across her face even if she wanted to.

"Morning."

"Hungry?" She offers a stack of pancakes. "Have eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, juice, milk... oh, you can have anything you want for breakfast." The Devil is in an excellent mood.

The smile remains on the woman's face as she steps into the kitchen properly from the doorway. Thirteen's in a pretty good mood herself.

"Famished."

She eyes the stack of pancakes; she honestly can't remember the last time she had them, and suddenly she's craving them.

The Devil sets down the food for Thirteen, brings over milk and juice, getting toast and eggs for herself.

She does not need to eat, but eating might help keep her new friend at ease. "I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did..."

Very much so."

If anything, the woman's smile intensifies, and she transfers a few of the pancakes onto her plate, and after a moment of reading labels, douses them in coconut syrup.

"Oh good, I was hoping so... and hoping I can convince you to have a day off here?" Scarlet is not ready to let good company go so soon.

"There are many entertaining things to be done in Seattle, even more if you like wild things."

The woman falls silent as she thinks over the offer; this being new territory for the doctor. Thirteen usually doesn't do the whole morning after thing.

"You must have noticed you are not hungover..." The Devil nibbles on buttered toast...

The question interrupts her thinking, and flashes the woman a smile.

"I have, I assume I have you to thank for that?"

"You do not have to thank me..." Scarlet grins. "But you are welcome. It is one of my lesser tricks."

"If I walk out on the rain, I don't get wet, if the weather is hot or cold, I don't suffer for it, if a car hits a puddle of muddy water, I don't get splashed... small things that help me enjoy existence as much as possible. I face only the hardships and challenges I choose to."

"No hangovers and suchlike..." No bad effects from other drugs one could guess. "Extending it to others is a matter of just... wanting it to happen."

"Either way, I really do appreciate it."

The woman spears a piece of pancake on her fork.

"Something tells me if you hadn't, I'd be nursing one hell of a killer headache right now."

"As I said. You are welcome."

"Most people who think they know me, would not believe, but sometimes I am just looking to have fun... and when I am looking to have fun, I can be generous."

Or at least, she says so...
