Doings Update

I haven't been a hermit by any means - just still trying to catch up with the swing of things.

Hmm - what have I been up to:

Thursday
I dressed up fancy at work and got many compliments - as they are so used to seeing me in t-shirt and jeans - I also had a meeting and looked all professional : ) Adam and I nabbed an early yummy steak dinner and then saw Wicked. I totally dug it - so did my aunt who saw it on Saturday. My only complaint was it was a bit toasty in the theater. The couple next to us - the gal had surprised her beau with the outing - he didn't even know where he was going - he asked us what we thought and Adam mentioned the book - "there's a book?" the guy asked. Tsk tsk - woe to those who aren't addicted to books like I am.

Friday
Jaunted out to davedujour's house to drop off some of his belongsing from the MISFITS party room and free up my trunk. I got to meet the DeJourlings before their dad whisked them off to a soccer game where hopefully he showed them how to properly behave like fanatics ; P

Then I ventured over to Book/Movie even tho I was dead tired. The company was indeed fabulous as always and even tho I hadn't found the time to read the this month's book I find that the Jurassic Park dinosaurs have indeed kept up to the test of time. After the movie I stayed and chatted for a bit and then went home and crashed.

Saturday
I meant to get-things-done - but that was not to happen - as I just didn't have any oompff to do much - so I read - which was blissful. Then I met Adam for dinner and we went to babysit his nephew, Connor. HA! I guess Adam better keep on his toes since he has competition since Connor refered to me as "his special gal" - oh too cute. We all played "hide the blanket" - then "hide each other with the blanket" - then made tinkertoy robots and did a giant floor puzzle before it was time for connor to head to bed - oh the torture! Once he was finally asleep and not "asking for ONE more thing" Adam and I watched Kingdom of Heaven. Then I went home and crashed mightily once again.

Sunday
I actually managed to get a few things done. Mostly unexpected washing as Sampson was trying some new sensitive tummy kitty food which was not agreeing with him - and of course he managed to hurl on the couch (yeah for couch covers) and my bed. Poor kitty.

Then it was off to mattmn for a night of Who-goodness and a preview of the Heroes pilot. Eh - I dunno - I think it could use some work. I think it jumped around a bit too much and I wasn't compelled by all the characters. I totally dug the Japanese guy who kept making all the geek references tho - I'm assuming he is the comic relief character.
