Since I love me some dericious hashbrowns and there's never a Denny's when you need one up here, I thought I'd attempt making my own. Aside from knicking my thumb a little bit on the grater before I caught onto the rhythm, very little injury occured, which can be somewhat unusual for me when dealing with bladed objects. In the end, I realized I used way too much potato, but the texture and softness in the middle was pretty spot-on. I'm gonna cram as much cooking in as I can so I can actually feed us when we move in together. I mean, I do a decent job of that now, but a little extra never hurt. ^^ And it's fun. Nevermind Blas only knows the very basic things, like boiling water and breakfast foods. Nothing as complicated as what I can do (yes, balancing three or four different dishes is complicated, STFU), but eh, he'll learn. Just like I'll be helping him get back into drawing. He used to pepper his letters with amusing doodles when we were younger, which made me look forward to them all the more. ^^ He complains about losing some of his talent over the years, but I assured it's only because he's been so busy. I still want to see what he can do now, anyway. XD If he continues to be whatever about his work, I'll just draw enough for both of us. :3
Speaking of which..
Not the BEST coloring job, but considering I lacked a lot of the proper shades in my marker bin (especially for his skin -- I had to dig out my old PRANG pencils), I worked with what I had. It's the composition I love the most, as well as the unconscious classic theme we have going with my penchant for Chinese clothing and his being a GI. XD Such fun.
