The nightmare is deceptively simple. The room Ginny Weasley dreams herself into is perfectly circular and utterly dark, save for the flickering blue light from the torches mounted on the stone walls; between those are doors everywhere, lining the room, and you are surrounded on all sides. Above, the ceiling stretches impossibly high into nothingness. All the doors are shut. Every so often, the room starts spinning dizzyingly fast, rotating them, and there is no way to know which one is an entrance or an exit. Does it matter? What lies beyond them remains to be seen. For the moment, the most prominent thing in the room is the dreamer herself, a girl unflinching at its magic.

She sits cross-legged on the floor in the centre of this Spinning Room, dark robes splayed around her in a dark pool and head bowed. A flash of crimson lining is visible in her sleeve as she raises her hand to lift a quill and begins writing in a small, leather-bound diary on her lap, but the movement is tense, as if she is fighting the urge to do this little thing with every fibre of her being. The diary is as plain as the room and just as deceptive-and no one but Ginny knows the power it holds, but she cannot stop herself from bending to it, not in this nightmare. Sometimes she cocks her head a fraction to the side, as if being compelled to listen to a whispering voice and it clearly pains her when she does, but to any casual observer, the place is silent, save for the quiet scratching of a quill tip against parchment.

... Perhaps, if you listen very carefully through one of the doors, you might hear something. Maybe the howl of what might be a wolf, if it weren't for the unnatural chill it sends down your spine. Maybe laughter, or maybe a faint, ragged plea for help. Perhaps it sounds like someone is pounding on the other side of that door, but the handle won't turn.

Or perhaps you don't hear anything at all. And somehow, that's even worse.

[ooc; This is open to absolutely anyone! Further details are here and as I mentioned in that comment, I am completely up for backdating for as long as you like, so don't worry! Dream visitors don't necessarily have to enter in the Spinning Room and are absolutely free to find themselves in the Burrow, Hogwarts (yes, even the Chamber of Secrets), a forest during the full moon, the City...

ALSO. Bracket action is awesome. AND LJ IS SCREWING WITH MY NOTIFS, so I apologise for delayed replies! D:
