In fact, he was already waiting there. His "sacred place". He had buried Dizzy here all that time ago, and come here again to confront Shinjiro in his moments of madness. It was here that he and Succubus had been reunited... This was his sanctuary.
And this would be the last time he came here. To disturb the still waters of this pond. Here, he would finally find the closure he sought. They both would...
After making sure nobody was following her, Baiken made her way to the place described in the note. Pent up anger and pain was thrumming through her with every step. Finally, a chance for some revenge.
She wouldn't let something as simple as the limiter chip get in her way.
Once she reached the clearing, Baiken stopped, leaving a decent distance between her and the Gear. She gripped the hilt of her katana tightly, falling into a battle-ready stance. "...Better be ready, you damn monster."
Baiken drew her katana with a flash and brought it up to block the attack. Defensive fighting was her forte, but she couldn't deny that Testament was damn strong. She grit her teeth and knocked the scythe blade aside, taking the opportunity to duck in beneath the weapon and slash at him.
Using the force from Baiken's blocking measure, he allowed himself to be pushed just a bit further back, narrowly missing the tip of her blade. Continuing in the motion, he brought the staff end of the scythe around in an attempt to bludgeon her.
Caught in mid-swing, Baiken didn't quite manage to dodge or block the attack. The staff end connected with her side, knocking her sideways. Cursing, she stumbled a step, recovering as quickly as she could.
Furious that he'd landed an attack, she ducked around behind him and charged, slashing with all her strength.
"You're wasting strength," Testament spoke, almost casually, as he dropped the blade of the scythe down, meeting her own. He was in an awkward looking pose to do so, but he seemed to still be in control of his body.
Moving just to the side, he once again redirected her force. He was not fighting like a Gear or monster... Each technique so far was beyond all of that. This was what his father had taught him...

"I've been ready for some time. Come, take your vengeance upon me. Let us end this once and for all!"
And he immediately went on the attack, swinging in a great arc with his scythe. With or without his magic, Testament was an incredibly strong fighter.
