I've been thinking...

..that if you look through history the only reason we know about most of it is because somebody had the good sense to write it down. genius.

Then I started to think about my own life.. nobody knows all of it.. and in truth a lot of it is actually quite interesting, so maybe it's a bad thing that I haven't bothered to ever update my journal.. maybe. It is much easier, especially on MSN to go "not much" when people ask you what you've been up to...

So today was a weird day, my Birthday was back in August and I didn't get any presents by my parents, well I lie, I was given a mobile phone with a camera (something I object to, I'd rather have a cheap mobile and a half decent camera) and a ring. so I asked my parents to bring the phone back and get a refund as I didn't like it and the tariff it was on was pretty naff, and I never ever wear rings (or any other jewellery for that matter)

So my Mum said something about how she wants an MP3 player earlier and I said "can I have one too?, I haven't had a birthday present yet" and she was under the impression that dad had paid for me to go to Reading, which, in true ground-breaking fashion I had totally paid for myself this year! The tickets, trains, everything! wahooo!!

Now if we talk about my birthday some more I funking hate birthdays so I pretty much cancelled it this year.. I had other things on my mind and my sister was away on holiday so it wasn't the family event it was supposed to be so I told everyone to postpone it until later.. so our convo led to the fact I hadn't been given some other presents yet so today I was given some shades, cycling computer, cycling vest top thing, a glass, a mug and some other schtuff.....

nice.
