It's weird how some popular songs age into (semi-)standards and others sink without a trace.

When was the last time you heard (or a radio station played) "Daddy, Don't You Walk So Fast"? "I'm Not Lisa"? "Playground in My Mind"?

And why did the Beatles chart again in 1976? What did I miss?

"Got to Get You Into My Life" was rereleased (not a new recording) and made the Top 10. I don't remember why; I don't think it was in a movie or anything.

Sort of like "Twist and Shout" became popular in the summer of 1986, due to Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

1978--that one did chart but did slightly less well chart-wise as the original and didn't make the Top 20 for that summer.
