I love me some election maps, and check them at least once a day during election season. The ones that break down by House district are the coolest.
My two favorites are
here and
here.
I like the first (NY Times) site because it has a district-by-district breakdown (I LOVE the way they've mapped it! Even though I would change the geography of some parts, namely NC, but also parts of New England and Michigan). I've watched the numbers change over the past few weeks from pretty close to even to now where the Dems show 215-203 if you leave off the toss-ups. You can click on "SENATE" and see that map.
The other site ("Electoral Vote dot com") is, I'm pretty sure, run by a Republican, so it's interesting that it shows a stronger Democratic lead...currently 241-193 in the House! The map only shows the Senate, but that has changed quite a bit recently as well...I can't believe VA is showing blue now! I had written that one off as Red. Missouri will keep us all biting our nails to the bitter end, and Montana had been "Weak Dem" and is now "Barely", but overall, this map is encouraging. The House races are at the bottom, and this guy, who claims to have the most updated polls of anyone (it changes literally daily), shows some very interesting swings, like NC-08!! BOY, I'd love for them to get rid of Robin Hayes, but this is the only site that shows much more than a wisp of hope for that. Still, it's been shown as granted for several weeks now.
I wish Tuesday would get here, it's driving me crazy.
