I had a long talk with my mom today. Her cousin passed away this summer, I just found out and I was pretty sad. My mom said she had some things from Putnam, Conn. where he lived all his life. Pictures and an embroidered tea towel with "Thurber" on it!! I asked if she had a scanner because I would love to see. She said that was silly, I should just wait till the box arrives!!!! She's shipping it all to me and telling my siblings if they ever care about such things, that I'll have it!!!!!! She says I'm the only one who appreciates it!!! Then she told me to forget about it because it's my graduation present!!!!!
