broken promises for broken hearts

They have asked me to take up another shift at my work. I feel so human as I wonder what the point of it is. When I was myself, I had a task that fulfilled a purpose and I continued doing it for eternity, or would have. Now this.. I labor to make money I could more easily steal and waste time that is no longer infinite.

Someone tell me why I should continue to work for these people.
