Oh! I seem to be on the track of a, um, double major. Which seems so silly with school having only just started.

I'm not precisely sure how it happened but my professors all say that I'm, um, driven and that I could do well once I learn to edit my papers.

Because 'um'ing on essays is frowned upon here. They want me to form my own opinions instead ( Read more... )

Do you enjoy dancing, Echo?

Oh! Very much yes! I love the, um, swish of it.

[finds a giggle from this, not that you can hear it]

I think swish is a very good term for many forms of dance. It does make my heart glad to see that you are happy.

I'm very glad you think so. I think perhaps, um, if it needed large words to describe how it feels it wouldn't be dancing. It would be, um, an essay. Not that I'm against essays precisely.

But how, um, are you? That is the important question.

Perhaps some things just aren't in need of many words do adequately describe them. As long as it's something that brings you joy, that's what matters.

Me? I am well enough. Work is work and sleep for me is always something to be desired.

Yes. I like the way you put things when you, um, choose to. The joy of swish.

Have the ghosts been, um, good?

Swish away, dear Echo! To your heart's content.

They've been...quiet. I haven't been able to readily determine the why, but there have been a few who have decided that keeping me up all hours is the best thing to do.

Then again, it's not entirely new.

I'll, um, do my best. Really.

Do you think they will ever, um, shift back? Or do you suppose it will stay not entirely now?

You'll do fine.

When they find that which they seek, then they will continue to where they need to go. They are so much more jaded in this modern world. It makes me sad at times.

Jaded does seem to describe, um, most modern things. It's good that they have you to rely on.
