Coughing Up A Lung

Dec 14, 2007 10:11

I've had a persistent cough for about a week now that still lingers even though my head cold has left the building, er, my body. Even with a good dollop or two of cough medicine before bed I'm usually up an hour to three later hacking up my lungs. Last night was the worst its been and twenty minutes into a good fit I heard a knock on my door. It was my flatmate Sandy with a mug of hot water! She had been typing in her room and heard me coughing so she made me some water to help me feel better. I have the sweetest flatmate in the world! It is difficult to find kindness within people you do know. Finding it in a stranger is a blessing. I am grateful that Sandy is my flatmate! I have nice roommates! They're nice!!!

Gospel Choir has its concert today and I'm stoked! We were jamming and dancing at rehearsal last night and I'm told that the entire school comes out for this concert each year. It's gonna rock! I'm happy that I'm finally feeling well enough to enjoy this one. The concert on Monday featured me frantically trying to wipe my nose before snot stole the stage and overwhelmed the first row. There should have been a warning on the poster: first 3 rows will get wet! And subsequently come down with Teh Bulgarian Gay Sniffle Flu. I hate the sniffles. HATE. I'd rather... well, almost anything else.

Margaret Cho says that England is where white people go to complete the whitening process. There is nothing like watching stuffy, white boys try to dance to soul music. It's bad enough at home, but here? So tragic that it isn't funny.

Noe will be here on Monday! I may just wet myself.
