After spending a day as "Zachary Blaine," Sylar was angry enough to try bullying a mousy-looking man over breakfast to make himself feel a little more powerful. Unluckily, this mousy-looking man turned out to be Grell Sutcliffe, a literal Jack the Ripper in his own universe with an insatiable sweet-tooth for blood. The good news is that Grell has taken a liking to Sylar and has offered a psychopathic alliance; the bad news is that there's no way to know how long that alliance will last.

WALLY WEST / THE FLASH ◎ scarletspeedstr
Wally started off as just another patient who Sylar could prod over a meal for some information; however, his incredibly cheerful and trusting attitude made him immediately stand out from the rest. Though initially intrigued by Wally's apparent friendship with the Clark Kent, Sylar has since become more keen on the idea to use him as a weapon against Peter Petrelli, who happens to be a mutual "friend." However, Sylar's interest in Wally has evolved somewhat beyond that too: after all, the man's constant concern for "Zack's" well-being has branded him a man so gullible, so naive, that Sylar can't help but delight in the idea of creating a close bond with him for the sole purpose of seeing Wally's face when he breaks it.

CLAIRE BENNET ◎ autophoenix (previously miracle_grow, instaheal)
An old "friend" from home, Claire symbolizes pure invincibility, as well as a trophy that would nullify Sylar's old defeats and destroy the resolve of his greatest enemies, all of whom are Claire's protectors in some form or another. However, Sylar also realizes that Claire is a girl - a sweet, innocent, predictably traumatized little girl - and this has caused him to appreciate her value as a toy as well. Sylar's interaction with Claire has been confined to a close-call attack in the Courtyard and a later daytime confrontation in the same area, though Sylar is completely unaware that they were in fact two different incarnations. He is also oblivious to the fact that the current third has already had her ability taken by an alternate, future version of himself.

PETER PETRELLI ◎ human_sponge
Peter is Sylar's ultimate nemesis in both his canon and at Landel's. While Sylar generally sees him as an extremely fun toy rather than a true threat, he has foiled Sylar at some key points in his villainous acts, the latest and greatest being that he ordered Sylar to tell him how to save Claire's life when Sylar was seconds away from taking her power. This was a profoundly humiliating defeat for Sylar, and it has been compounded by the fact that Peter has made it his mission to warn the entire Institute of the murderer's existence. Sylar has answered these attacks by going out of his way to terrorize both Peter and his allies, even going so far as to murder one of them in front of his eyes.
MOHINDER SURESH ◎ cockroachtheory
Mohinder - one of Sylar's very favorite toys and the son of the man who made Sylar what he is - is one of the last people Sylar expected to see when walking into his assigned doctor's office. More surprising still is the fact that Mohinder cannot recognize him for who he is, leading Sylar to conclude that he must be under the influence of the Institute even more than the patients. (Given how easy it is to manipulate Mohinder by playing to his insufferable self-righteousness, Sylar can't say he's too surprised.)
SAM WINCHESTER ◎ allroadslead
Sylar met Sam when they were both brainwashed to believe they were their real life selves, and as such, they both revealed more to each other than they normally would. One of those things, which was an unfortunate coincidence for "Zach" and a fortuitous discovery for Sylar, was the fact that "Matthew" is Peter Petrelli's roommate. His luck continued when he happened to be saved from a monster by Sam and "Brian" the following night, though while Sam's highest priority was to treat Sylar's wounds, Sylar's was to figure out how best to use him against Peter. What he doesn't know now is that Sam's already been told who he really is, which is something any monster should dread.
MARTIN LANDEL ◎ the_head_doctor
Like everyone else in the Institute, Sylar would like nothing more than Dr. Landel's head on a pike. Unlike everyone else, he'd also like a very long look at the man's brain...

ELLE BISHOP ◎ ellectriclights (dropped)
Once, Elle was the girl responsible for knocking Sylar into a glass wall just before he woke up in Landel's Institute. However, after coming across her as a fellow trapped patient, Sylar found himself "allied" with her and Eddie Brock, who both knew his true nature but didn't seem to mind. Unfortunately, this all came to an ugly end when a deadly misunderstanding and Elle's own alliance with Peter caused Sylar to see her power as being far more valuable than her life.
ZOLF J. KIMBLEY ◎ crimson_handed (dropped)
Sylar never knew much about Zolf J. Kimbley, but that didn't stop him from killing the man in cold blood as a show of his competence to Eddie Brock; shortly after, Kimbley's body helped Sylar to realize that his own ability-stealing powers were still functional. Luckily, Kimbley seemed to have been a hated killer himself and his death was all but celebrated by those who knew him; unluckily, the infamous nature of the man's power prevents Sylar even now from finding out what the hell it actually is.

VIRGINIA GRAY ◎ damned_visitors
Sylar's mother is the most important figure in his life and his only true, permanent connection to Gabriel Gray, the personification of his past identity and deeply buried humanity. Tragically, this single human tie is also the ultimate source of all the insecurity and resentment that fuels Sylar's existence as Gabriel's darker, far more dominant persona, and even when Gabriel indirectly begs his mother to love him for who he is so that he can stop himself from continuing on his Darwinian crusade, she refuses to do so in the belief that her son is wasting untapped potential. In his home world, Sylar accidentally killed his mother during an argument over one such plea, and to date, this is his only murder that he truly did not intend and that he feels genuine, crippling guilt towards. It is because of this that receiving his mother as a visitor has severely impacted his psyche and his perception of the "Zachary Blaine" identity that the Institute has assigned him.
SPOCK ◎ dual_worlds
If Sylar had been introduced to his current roommate on any other day, the man's physical similarities might have amused him, or, at the worst, frustrated him as some kind of (literal) cosmic joke. However, meeting the man immediately after a visit from his dead mother has caused his Vulcan "twin" to take on deep significance and half-realized symbolism that Sylar would much rather shove back into his subconscious than face every night at dinnertime.

Sylar happened to sit down next to Aerith in the Music Room on a day when he wanted to be left alone. Bad decision.

At first, the weirdest thing about Beelzemon seemed to be his combination of a Brooklyn accent and not knowing what pizza was. Soon, however, he proved intriguing by describing his own power as being eerily similar to Sylar's.
DEAN WINCHESTER (BRIAN JOHNSON) ◎ theroadsofar
Sylar met "Brian" at lunch by chance, and though he could tell there's something more underneath the burger-chomping facade, he wasn't sure if it's something worth pursuing. His suspicions were confirmed when "Brian" and Sam saved him from a monster, though why the man is so experienced with fighting is still a mystery.
ENGLAND (ARTHUR KIRKLAND) ◎ teabastard
After smuggling some contraband out of Doyleton's Auto Shop, Sylar used conversation with this "young" man as cover for sneaking the item into his shoe.

Sylar sat with Exile for a scarce minute or so at lunch one day. Other than figuring out that he'd just woken up, Sylar doesn't know anything about the dog man.
JAMES T. KIRK ◎ doneinthree
Once assumed to be a delusional Trekkie, Sylar now knows that the man who mistook him for Spock is, in fact, Captain Kirk in the flesh. While this lessens his potential for being manipulated, Sylar's physical similarities to Kirk's first officer are forcing him to keep a close eye on the wannabe Shatner.

While L is usually a manipulator more brilliant than Sylar, the effects of brainwashing rendered them both oblivious to the dangers posed by the other. Of course, this might change if they meet again.

Although Sylar was at first annoyed to be mistaken for his roommate once again, he immediately realized that talking with Chekov about Spock might yield some fruitful results.

Although Sylar is unaware that the kid he encountered during breakfast is, in fact, a goody two-shoe superhero named Peter who resides in New York City, he is aware that he's a valuable source of information about Grell Sutcliffe.

On his way back from Doyleton, Sylar found himself sitting next to a young, pink-haired girl. She seemed obnoxiously chipper at first, but then gave him some interesting information about an outside rebellion.

Tyki is the first person who Sylar attacked while under the effects of Special Counseling during Night 32, and at the time, he didn't give his warm-up target much thought. This proved to be a fatal error: Tyki, a sadistic killer himself, later called Sylar out for a rematch, where - aided in part by nighttime events - he beat Sylar to the point of grave physical injury and psychological degradation. Because of this, the man has shot to the top of Sylar's "people to slowly torture" list, second only to Peter Petrelli.
EDDIE BROCK / VENOM ◎ blacksustenance (dropped)
Eddie was the first "ally" that Sylar ever had at the Institute aside from Elle (who he ended up killing anyway). After all, Sylar's figurative appetite for brains meshed wonderfully with Eddie's literal one, even if their bickering and villanous tension caused both to constantly keep a wary eye on the other.
KUCHIKI RUKIA ◎ haiiro_no_chou (dropped)
Rukia was the very first patient who Sylar interacted with at the Institute and his gateway into the traditional Landel's run-down. His primary object of manipulation due to his unfamiliarity with the place, Sylar stayed in contact with Rukia until his fateful Special Counseling night, when he took intense pleasure in revealing his true self to the girl who'd thought him her friend.

A man named "Adel" agreed to teach Sylar about how to use his newly acquired alchemy power. Although the two made plans to meet, Adel never showed up.

Allen was one of Rukia's friends who Sylar attacked while on Special Counseling; Sylar later "apologized" during Dayshift for his actions in an attempt to repair bridges with Rukia.

Sylar met Anthy on the Doyleton bus; he never found out much about her aside from the fact that she liked tea.

Ayumu met Sylar when he was having some of his worse headache troubles; while he was unable to get a proper read on her, she did seem very concerned about his "injury" and general well-being.

The second of Sylar's string of roommates, Sylar only spoke with him once, briefly.

The third of Sylar's string of roommates, Crawford was the first who Sylar was actually able to have a proper conversation with. Although Crawford intrigued him, their talk was cut short when the man was dragged away for nighttime counseling. Sylar never saw him again.

Sylar was immediately interested in Callisto when she asked him straightforward, demanding questions about the Institute. Her claims to godhood and apparent comfort with violence also intrigued him to the point that he introduced himself as "Sylar" instead of the usual "Zachary Blaine."

At first, Sylar found Clark to be a conveniently gullible boy who also happened to be Claire Bennet's friend; however, the revelation that Clark was in fact Clark Kent made the kid a hell of a lot more interesting. Unfortunately, he seems to have since disappeared from the Institute.

Daphne immediately recognized Sylar as the infamous serial killer from her world when she came across him during Dayshift. Due to her reaction to him and the surrounding circumstances, Sylar has a hunch that she's a product of the timeline differences mentioned so often on the bulletin; however, he hasn't had a chance to track her down after their first meeting to find out more.
EILEEN GALVIN ◎ themotherreborn (dropped)
Along with Faize, Eileen was Sylar's savior on the night of the Doyleton zombie attack. Most people would be grateful for such a selfless act, but Sylar is, of course, not "most people."

When the zombie hordes invaded Doyleton, Faize was one of the two who came to Sylar's aid and saved him from being eaten alive. His reward? Deception, interrogation, manipulation, and a pair of eyes fixed contemplatively on his forehead.

Sylar met with "Robin" as part of a proposed deal for him to fix a watch in exchange for a syringe (and more importantly, useful social connections). While the kid seemed competent and inoffensive enough, nothing ever came of the agreement.

Although Sylar never met Mello in person, they made a tentative watch-repairing deal on the bulletin board that never ended up coming to fruition.

The only reason Sylar never interacted with Bennet was because Sylar knew from experience how infuriatingly dangerous the man could be. Though Bennet never found Sylar, Sylar certainly kept tabs on him, waiting for a moment when he and Claire were separated to strike. Luckily for Sylar, Bennet now seems to have been removed from the Institute for good.

Sylar happened to meet Senna when he was in a fairly bad mood; however, he still managed to keep on enough of a smile to carry on a somewhat rewarding conversation with her.

Sylar's first roommate perplexed him due to the fact that he was always passed out during dinner. They talked once, though Sylar never got his name.
WOLVERINE / JAMES 'LOGAN' HOWLETT ◎ ol_canucklehead (dropped)
Though the character of Wolverine is just as famous in Sylar's world as he is in ours, Sylar's one encounter with the man made him recognize Logan as a serious danger with observational prowess rather than a fictional celebrity.
