- Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Classic thrash metal album from my favorite metal band. Excellent throughout.
- Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Dio's best album with Sabbath.
- NIN - The Fragile
An excellent journey through instrumental and traditional tracks.
- Loquat - It's Yours to Keep
A band I discovered via Pandora about four years ago. Thank you, Pandora.
- Van Halen - II
My favorite VH album. It's such a classic hard rock album.
- Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughn - In Session
Live audio from a TV special in which the legendary King passes the torch to SRV.
- Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...
Oh man, this was one of those albums I listened to nearly non-stop during my late Shelton and early UAB days. I was addicted.
- Poe - Haunted
See above description. Music of my college days.
- Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Another classic heavy metal album. 22 Acacia Avenue is my favorite track.
- Dokken - Under Lock and Key
Say what you will, but George Lynch is one of the greatest guitar players still alive and Don's got a great voice. This was one of their most well-rounded albums.
- Tsunami Bomb - The Ultimate Escape
An energetic punk band that is around no longer. Their lead singer and bassist went on to form the indie/new wave/punk band The Action Design, which I absolutely love as well.
- Kick Axe - Vices
Canadian metal band that had two really excellent albums and a couple of okay ones. This was their first and by far their best. It also happens to be a favorite of mine.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
An excellent album throughout and this may seem an obvious and cliche choice for RHCP, but it is undeniably great. I am, however, very partial to The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, which was the soundtrack to one of high school summers.
- Megadeth - "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying!?"
Another classic from Megadeth. I could also list So Far, So Good... So What!", but won't.
- Danzig - Danzig
Say what you will about Danzig himself, but this album rocks. High school listening days.
