I've been watching
TransGeneration, an 8-part documentary on Sundance. It's challenged me to look at people differently.
But watching episode 4 tonight really touched me.
Gabbie (M-to-F) goes to Illinois to visit her grandparents during the holidays. Her parents had previously not taken the news well, but her grandparents were accepting.
Oh, and her grandfather is a former Presbyterian minister, with some 50 years of service.
When Gabbie said that her grandparents were so accepting, the grandfather says "that's what religion is for."
Amen.
