After a somber breakfast at Denny's mulling over the overnight death of Muhammad Ali, we packed up and headed home.
On the way, we stopped in Charlottesville to visit those Wahoos at the University of Virginia. Despite the academic year ending last month, the campus was still busy since the Cavaliers were hosting an NCAA baseball super-regional this weekend. That meant we couldn't explore the sporting arenas, as we'd be charged for parking in the surrounding lots.
So instead, we sought out a restaurant and came up with
Zazu's. Despite their fresh and healthy wraps, Chad still found something he could eat. Meanwhile, I was more fascinated by the fact that some of their menu-item prices didn't end in a 9... or a 0, for that matter. (Try, for instance, the cucumber salad for $7.37.) I'm easily entertained; it's true.
Chad reclined back for the drive home, only to be awakened outside of Lexington by a fantastic downpour. (Well, it wasn't fantastic while I was driving through it.) We survived, obviously, and ended up stopping for gas in White Sulphur Springs before heading the rest of the way home -- sunny skies the rest of the way.
