Ed. note: Composed last night.
FORT LAUDERDALE -- Most of this day was spent at home in the valley, as our flight didn't leave until 6.
Things took a curious turn when we found
he-who-cannot-be-named-in-Morgantown getting off the plane in Charleston that we were going to take back. And as Alice would say, it got curiouser and curiouser as I found
Chad Pennington and his family getting on the plane. My Chad was upset that I wouldn't be his note-runner on the plane, but hey, there has been a previous meeting of the Chads. I think they'll both survive without a second.
Despite arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 8, and not making it to our hotel with rental car in hand until 9:30, Chad had the ultimately good idea for some carryout from
New River Pizza. We didn't order pizza; instead, I had a spinach wrap and Chad had a 12" chicken sub.
The one frowny for the Days Inn in which we stayed: It had neither a PBS or an ESPN channel. Chad and I agreed that it was a stupid cable lineup.
