The surge may not work for me
I am scheduled to fly into Colorado Springs on Tuesday in advance of the WVU/Colorado game in Boulder on Thursday and my friends' 10th anniversary, which is at the end of the month. But wouldn't you know, my connection is through Houston.

As a matter of fact, all Continental connections to the Springs are through Houston. So, any rerouting within the Continental system would have to send me instead to Denver, 90 minutes away. (Btw, Continental is allowing one-time-only, Ike-related, fee-free ticket readjustments, which is SOP in these sorts of cases.)
While it would screw up my carefully-honed travel plans, they can be easily adjusted. But I'd really like to fly directly to Colorado Springs.
