First-day jitters

Isaiah starts middle school on Tuesday.

So as a homework assignment (for Sunday School!) due next week, I told him to give me the answer to this: One of your teachers has a sibling who attends this church. Tell me who it is.

Of course, he immediately began his "c'mon, Brad, tell me" refrain. When Billy returned from gathering the class collections and I got him up to speed -- and he remembered who it was -- Isaiah started on him too.

I even gave him the perfect way to find out:
ME- "As you're leaving each class Tuesday, ask your teacher if their brother/sister goes to your church."
ISAIAH- "Aw, c'mon. I don't want to be a teacher's pet."

Well, I can spill the answer here: His English teacher [Nancy] is sister to our choir director [Margy]. (FYI: So will his 8th grade English teacher [Cindy]. Hopefully, I can get him on that in two years.)

I had fun with this before.

Last year, Kaylee was on the middle school volleyball team, coached by Cindy. However, Kaylee just couldn't figure out why Mrs Webb kept dropping in on practices.
