I learned from NPR that today is the 40th anniversary of the Loving v. Virginia case, which struck down statewide bans on interracial marriage.

Also included in the above story is a current interracial couple in the same Virginia county as the Lovings resided in the 1960s. Sadly, not too much has changed.
