The lawsuit of Almaz-Antey will be considered on September the 13th, 2016 in Luxemburg

Common Court of the European Union (Luxemburg) appointed a date of considering the lawsuit of JS “Concern VKO “Almaz-Antey” of unlawfulness of introduction of sanctions against the concern.

The date is appointed on September the 13th, 2016.

The part of Claimant is represented by German lawyers, supporting the interests of the Russian venture.

In spring of 2015 the Concern appealed in administrative and juridical part against the sanctions introduced by the European Union Council in September of 2014.

To precede the legal appeal of the EU sanctions the part involved German partners, Taylor Wessing layers, which represent juridical and extrajudicial trails and general negotiations in the interests of the Concern.

The appeal against annulment of the solution of the EU Council № 2015/432/CFSP from 13.03.2015 and the EU Executive regulation № 2015/427 from 13.03.2015, which prolonged the sanctions against the Concern in part of “property freezing”, was lodged to the General EU Court (Luxemburg).

Yan Novikov, the Director of the Concern, declared that “introducing the Concern into the sanction lists is groundless and violates basic rights, guaranteed by the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU”.



The Action Legal Department of the Concern mentioned that the decisions of the EU Council about introducing the Concern into to sanction lists breaking the legal regulations and basic principles of the EU due to the absence of any evident proves and applicable rationale of the Concern being involved into destabilization of the Ukrainian situation.

Concern VKO “Almaz-Antey” was founded in 2002  to consolidate a number of  ventures: factories,  scientific and production unions, constructing departments and research and development institutes, which were handling the design and implementation of anti-aircraft missile complex of short, middle and long-range actions, the main types of radar reconnaissance and automated control systems.

On February the 5th of 2015 the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin signed the Ordinance to transform Concern PVO “Almaz-Antey” into Concern Aerospace Defense "Almaz - Antey".

With the same Ordinance augmentation of Authorizing capital of the Concern was approved.



Nowadays the Concern incorporates more than 70 ventures and more than 125 thousand employees around 18 regions of the countries.
