Thus far, what we do know is 6 years prior to Day 8, Renee worked undercover with the Russian mob for nearly 2 years. Her old FBI cover is still intact.
She was let go from the FBI due to the fact that her integration of Wilson got to the point that she nearly killed him.
After being dismissed, she worked for a securities firm and that job didn't work out. (For some reason.)
And the fact there are cuts on her wrist show she attempted suicide at least once.
As for how much time has passed between Days 7 and 8? I've heard 18 months in some write ups. But I think it's a little longer than that.
