find that there's someone on the other side?
It's a quite sudden act, often preceded by a nano-second of realization that the door you're pulling or pushing is lighter than usual, as if there's a force on the other si -- AAHH!
So I don't know what to call those events, much like I don't know the more precise way of saying that thing that lot of men do, where they place one leg perpendicular to the other's knee, to create kind of a right angle, with the one ankle touching the supporting knee. Like that.
Anyway, I had the most intense one of those door things of my entire life the other day.
I was walking into the bathroom when I grasped the handle to the mens room and pushed in, receving (I now realize in retrospect) FAR too little resistance. I was immediately greeted by the bewildered gape of one of the real estate reporters. I gasped, and -- in reaction to my shock -- he leapt back in disgust/surprise.
It was literally like one of the people you roll up in Katamari Damacy when they realize that the nearby katamari is large enough to roll them up. It was kind of a spiritual moment, and both the reporter and I share a special bond, now. I insisted that we both pause inside the doorframe of the mens room and acknowledge this life event.
I only hope that you can create so significant a bond with your co-workers.
