Confession Cafe: non-prompt post

Dec 06, 2009 18:08

When Tony heard the waitress complaining about running out of mistletoe decorations for the Cafe, he didn't really think about it before offering to help. Maybe it was because the duplication spell in Arra's notes looked awesome and Tony had been dying for an excuse to practice it. Whatever the reason, it wasn't long before the young wizard was staring at the fake, plastic petals of the mistletoe decoration on the table in front of him and chanting a string of syllables that he suspected were not built to be uttered by entirely human throats.

At first nothing happened. Tony figured that was better than things blowing up or catching on fire, but still...it was disappointing.

What he didn't notice was the new sprig of not-plastic mistletoe blossoming to life and twisting itself around a light fixture at the next table over. And then another one, a few meters away. And another, and another.

And when people started to kiss underneath them well...'tis the season to be jolly. Right?
