So I was thinking about mortality…
If ever I leave you all
How would I like to be remembered?
I think I would want to be remembered by some of my writing
Which is sort of funny, since, most people who know me, don’t know I write
Of those who do, only a couple know where to read it.
My writings are strings of thoughts
Usually tied together with some common thread
Yet they are also bold statements about my feelings
That is, assuming you read deeper than the letters.
I would want to be remembered as a man in love
As a man who loves
And hopefully a man who is loved
It’s funny how some things really don’t matter
My job
(and)
My possessions
Just take care of my fish and my guitar
(Because they have feelings too)
