Sorry r/l is being such a pain at the moment. I've been horribly distracted writing the oneshot that ate my life, but when I finished and the dust settled, I began to worry about you! Was going to email you, god only knows why it didn't occur to me to check your journal *eyeroll*
Anyway. Don't forget to breathe, drink lots of coffee and do your best not to spill any blood :) You work too hard, y/y?
Looking forward to more Foundations when you have a gap in your schedule :D N x

I'm not really very high tech. I'm using Garage band, which came with my Macbook. It's got a selection for female voice for podcasts, and I just use that - no special settings or anything. I would like to have a tool that helps me get rid of some of the breathing and popping sounds, but I think I'd have to start using a different recording package, and I'm resistant to learning new technology if I don't have to.
I bought myself a decent headset/microphone rig, which helps, I think (cost me around $70 or $80 Canadian).
And that's it. There's nothing else. Oh, I live on a quiet street and have a pretty quiet house (although the cats occasionally try to contribute). I think that helps as well.
I don't know if that helps, but that's the whole story.
