It's comments like yours that are keeping my head hairs from suffering a quick death at the hands of a pair of clippers. I keep really wanting to shave it off, but then a beautiful woman will say it looks good, and I'll keep 'em for a while longer.
I decided to not take to clippers to Italy when I moved there for a month this summer. When I got back, I had a month of growth. My dad had recently encouraged me to grow out my hair, because one day I won't be able to. I thought, why not? I have come up with a few reasons, but I've still got the hair at this point.
Yep! I thought about saying something, but I thought I'd see if anyone said something first. It's one of two chain restaurants (out of about 30) on the Grand Place. The other one is a McDonald's. I have not darkened the door of either establishment. (Chi-Chi's is absolutely terrible in the states, and I've been told this one is horrible as well, even the margaritas.)
Which does bring up an interesting point that mojitos are a pretty popular drink around here and in Italy. They really don't taste anything like the mojitos in Austin, though. And nothing could compare to the best mojitos in the world made by doryan76.
I used to really like Chi-Chi's when I was a teenager! But then again I lived in suburban Illinois and didn't know any better. Although, I still have never had fried ice cream that I liked as much as I used to like theirs (again, this may be a combination of poor memory and unsophisticated taste buds when I was that age).
Ha! Chi-Chis was all you got in Illinois growing up, apparently.
It was rather disappointing when I went to one in Germany -- the people I was with kept interrepting my surprise and delight at the American chains being there with a desire to eat there. (As it turns out, I've discovered I read signs aloud when traveling in an amused sort of way. And the American chains were the only ones I could easily read.)

Talk about a smorgasbord here. You with hair, weird fantasy re-enactments of WWII, burning man clothes, and pot. What a crazy life!
Happy birthday, Kurt B says hi also....
