Cute! Kyomo’s precocious childhood
“My second love was the infirmary nurse”
Kyomoto Taiga says “I might’ve behaved like an adult for weird things”. To him who will be turning 27 on December 3rd, we asked about his “Mr. Precocious” childhood days!
A crazy and naughty childhood
The earliest memory I have was from when I was either 3 or 4 years old, where I composed and penned a song by myself. With the theme of “amino acids” (laughs), I literally used one phrase to make this random song and sang it. I’m an only child so I always played by myself. With toys too, I made up my own rules and played with them differently to how they were intended to.
I was naughty by the time I entered preschool. If my friends didn’t let me play with their toys, I would throw building blocks at them or get into fights - I often got in trouble from my mom. I got into arguments with her too. I was arguing with her in the morning before I had to go to preschool and I got angry and ran outside and went to preschool by myself. It was only around a 15 minute walk, but going alone as a pre-schooler was quite something. Crazy wasn’t it? My mental age was more mature for weird things, and I think I behaved a bit like an adult.
Around then, I saw my mother as a very overprotective and naggy person. She’s still naggy now and I’m not sure if she still thinks I’m an elementary schooler, but she’ll contact me frequently asking how this or that went (laughs). I didn’t see my father that much since he was busy, but he was always there on big days like my birthday, Christmas and New Years. Since there’s only the 3 of us, I was happy and had fun when all of us came together.
Headlong onto the path of being an introvert?!
When I started elementary school, I went headlong onto the path of being an introvert (laughs). Athletic capabilities weren’t really a thing in preschool and we were all equal, but a disparity started to form in elementary school and I realised that I was on the not-sporty side. I stopped going outdoors and would play card games all the time at home, becoming meeker and meeker. But the card games were fun and I had friends that played them with me too so it I didn’t have a bad time at all.
From there, I started to like drawing as well. I did sketches and created characters to make something like my own card game. I enjoyed the time I spent drawing, and I’m the type to spend hours drawing without even realising. During breaks at school, I would be on the stilts outside. I learned to do turns or little tricks on them and that’s all I’d do. The stilts were ones that I made myself in class but I was pretty confident about my handiwork.
Little Mr. Precocious’ second love ♡
Sports class was the one thing I really hated, so I’d always go to the infirmary instead. My first love was actually my teacher in preschool, but the next person I liked was my elementary school’s infirmary nurse. Huhuhu, I was precocious wasn’t it. She was really cute and the parents regarded her as cute too, so it made me like her that much more. I remember going to her house with a few of my friends too. But why did we go? Rather than liking her for 6 years, she was more of a healing presence. I would go to the infirmary all the time and chat with her, and I think she doted on me quite a bit and we communicated more than others. But I would also use the infirmary bed to take a nap, so she might’ve disliked that (laughs). I wonder how she really thought about me.
Talking about a hero from my childhood, it’s simply Ultraman and Kamen Rider. I got my parents to buy all their figurines for me and I would always go to the Ultraman festival every year. I particularly liked Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Dyna. When I learned that Tiga was played by Nagano (Hiroshi)-kun, I was super excited and happy that “I’m in the same company as the person who played Tiga!!”.
If SixTONES were to throw a surprise for Taiga’s birthday?

I’ll invite his father for a surprise?!
I’ll invite his father Kyomoto (Masaki)-san. First I’ll have dinner with Taiga alone, then we’ll go to Shintarou’s place for where all the members, and his father will be there too! He’d definitely bring nice wine.
Matsumura Hokuto
Being alone together in a private room would seriously be a surprise.
What I think would be a real surprise is being in a private room together by ourselves. When we need to order food, or share the plate of food, I think we’d naturally start talking.

I’ll invite huge guests!
Taiga loves anime, so I’ll gather all the characters from his favourite anime. I’ll invite them to a hotel or a restaurant, so he can spend his birthday happily with everyone!
Morimoto Shintarou
Members only at a special theatre
At the theatre that Kyomo treasures, I’ll have the stage sets from his previous plays set up on stage, and put “happy birthday” on the screen or something. It’ll be members only without other guests!
Tanaka Juri
A dinner invite that’s a surprise
It’ll probably just be a dinner? I’ll ask him “let’s go for a meal” after work and the 6 of us will go together. We don’t usually celebrate each other’s birthdays, so I think inviting him in the first place is a surprise.
