[ Personality ] :
Fitting as a man who is called "Japan's Greatest," Yukimura is a noteworthy warrior. He puts duty above all else and shows great courage even when odds are stacked against him. He firmly believes in the warrior's way he has chosen and follows it wholeheartedly. Of course, his determination can be interpreted as stubbornness - as he cannot he persuaded easily, if at all. Hot-blooded and intense, he charges into battlefield with unwavering spirit.
He is also very respectful, even to his foes. In the game, one of his victory comment is "your defeat was an honorable one." Of course, his respect and devotion to his lords(especially to Shingen Takeda) are on a different level since he goes through tough battles and ordeals to fulfill their visions. However, this great devotion has caused him to suffer as well. Whenever one of his lords perish, he feels tremendous guilt because he feels that it was his duty of protect them from all harm. Perhaps this is why he has shown to reckless with his life as if "he is drawn towards death" after Sekigahara. Even one of his friend has commented that he is unstable and someone should keep an eye on him. However, the Osaka campaign was a lost cause for Yukimura's side, and he charged through sea of enemies to claim Ieyasu's head. Not because he loathed the man, not because his pride as a warrior was at stake (he had already defeated many foes in order to reach Ieyasu, more than proving worthy), but because he wanted an ending.
Despite these negatives weighing him down, Yukimura is a humble young man outside of the battlefield, perhaps a little awkward, but pleasant. He is polite to men and women alike and normally addresses them with good manners. Loyal to his friends through thick and thin. He considers honor one of greatest attributes of men.
Additionally, he is pretty popular among girls, but he himself is oblivious of their advances. A good example of this is Kunoichi, his loyal ninja. She loves him to the point of following him to suicidal battles, yet he still believes it was done out of duty. That poor ninja...
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Yukimura's strengths? Of course, fighting. He is a fearsome fighter with his trusted cross spear. The game itself allows variety of combo attacks - in Yukimura's case, jabs and slashes. There is also additional attack called Spirit Charge, where a powerful dash can knock his foe off their feet. His ultimate attack called Musou consists of powerful swings of his spear then an inferno of flames blasting five feet radius around Yukimura.
Other than fighting, he is a good horseman. Then again he was in the Takeda army which was famous for its cavalry.
His weakness? His pride and his scars. The kind that hurts the heart, not the body. Ultimately it is what drove him to his death. The past happening, such as the fall of Takeda, death of Mitsunari, and so-on, it still haunts him.
As for physical weakness, he doesn't seem to have one at all. Most of his defeats were from Honda Tadakatsu, who is said to the ultimate ace of the Sengoku Era. He does however seem to be poor at general comedy (due to always being so .. intense).
[ Other Important Facts ] :
-> He is the second son of the Sanada family. His brother Nobuyuki is present in the games. Although not a PC.
-> He has been in exile once in Mt. Kudo.
-> He has a female attendant/ninja by the name of Kunoichi (if you think about it not really a name per se), whom he shows great trust.

The last thing he remembered was getting ready for death.
Yet he was alive and breathing when he woke up from a restless sleep. He looked up towards the ocean water and for a minute, was in awe at how beautiful the water looked as the light reflected the currents. He thought for a blissful minute that this might be the afterlife. Until his body started screaming.
He was definitely alive, this pain was enough proof of that.
"... Ugh!"
His attempt to stand up failed, his armor feeling too heavy on his body. The wounds wouldn't stop gashing, and he was soaked with his own blood and salty waters. What was going on? How did this happen? Where was he? These kind of questions flew in and out of his hazy mind.
He tried to stand up once again, and this time succeeded with great difficulty. His spear was not far away from his grasp, and he used it to support himself.
Why was he alive?
As he shakily started walking with trail of blood following him, he couldn't help but ask that question more than any other. In this city where the waters glittered over his head, did he have some kind of purpose?
Oblivious that he was walking towards the glowing coral in the distance, he breathed out heavily.
Was it okay to live?
But nothing answered his question.
