So as, probably, none of you know; every year my film class goes to Sundance Film Festival for a week to interview movie makers and actors and make fun podcasts. The requirements are: You must be taking a college credit course, it must be your second photography/film class, you have to have entered at least three film festivals, seniors get top priority.
Of course I have done nothing above (except take a college credit course) and so a week ago I had to say goodbye to my friends who could go to Sundance. And I wasn't that pissed off, I mean, I'm a lowly Junior who sucks a lot at making movies and some of my friends have won thousands of dollars at a time off their short films. So I was just like 'maybe next year'
Well the podcasts are up, one kid got to sit down with Jared Leto and the rest of 30 Seconds to Mars and interview them. And apparently another saw (but didn't film) Jared punching out Elijah Woods when he said he didn't like the band (I don't know if that's true or not but I heard it from a kid in my normal classes and a film student so *shrug*). I missed another sit down interview with Vince Vaughn, who is one of the funniest actors out there in my opinion, and of course I missed free Sundance merch and all sorts of nifty movies that I would've loved to have been skipping school to see.
Ah well, I guess there is always next year when I'll be in duel credit again, a senior and in my second year of filming, who know's I may even enter a contest soon.
In a few weeks I'll have the music video I'm making for the unseen put up, to the song "Scream Out" though they said if they liked it, it's going up on their site as well.
