job hunt, car clean
i went out and applied at star bagel and provence today. daniel told me star bagel was hiring and reid found an ad in the paper claiming they were hiring management and part timers at $10 + so i went in and filled out an application on the spot. the lady who gave me the application said that they were taking applications (she didn't mention that they were actually looking to hire anybody, but whatever) and that the manager wouldn't be too thrilled about my hair, but i told her that i could always change that. they didn't mention anything about getting back to me after i handed my application in.
provence had a sign in the window that said they were hiring and after i filled their application out (though i'm not too sure i had to since i'm pretty sure i applied there a little over 5 months ago) the guy told me they'd probably be getting back to me by tuesday or wednesday (i dunno if he meant TOMORROW by tuesday, but whatever). i mentioned how antony used to work for them... i dunno if that was a good move or not seeing as how he recently was fired. meh.
i also washed my car today. all the traces of raccoons are gone, and becca even helped me clean out my trunk! i meant to take a picture of it before cleaning it. there were some BIZARRE things in my trunk. lots of clothes (non of them mine), a constable's hat, carved wooden african bookends, a banner for the special edition chicago cubs old style beer, a shoebox full of used target gift cards, my homework from college, a bag of stuffed animals, a gigantic green fuzzy bathrobe, a small children's bicycle, etc etc. most of it is boxed up and going to goodwill. i found some things i'd been missing, too like my houndstooth cap and my smiths the queen is dead bag. also, i found a jar full of change. yay!
