Me too! I didn't think we would pull it off but it just goes to show ya what a couple of rescue groups that decide to work together instead of fighting over animals can do. Thanks to Animal Action Rescue (who joined forces with DRDR in this effort) these pups have foster homes to go to and will be adopted out to only people that pass the strict adoption screenings.

One thing for sure, none of the dogs rescued will ever be responsible for more unwanted puppies as all are immediately spayed and neutered as soon as possible depending on age and health. :)

I hope I didn't speak too soon. The shelter just called and said one puppy that was adopted from the litter of seven broke with Parvo and he is giving us one hour to retrieve all the pups or he will put them ALL to sleep. Shit! I hate dealing with these butt heads. Now we are scrambling to get someone to try to get there fast. We weren't suppose to pick them up until tomorrow and then a second group on Friday. Damn.....

Thanks! We have someone taking Tamiflu to the shelter. It's been known to help puppies exposed or in early stages of parvo. That's how Michelle saved 8 out of 9 puppies that broke with parvo.

Now if we can just get them out of there they might have a chance. We did get a little reprieve from the shelter but I don't trust them. I'll feel better when they are out the door.

Hi girlie!!! :) It's 67_chevelle@verizon.net but don't you go putting yourself in a pinch.

I tell you Deana... I'm learning there are some awful people living in this World with us. We just found out about a pregnant Aussie at another facility and before anyone could react they put her to sleep because she was getting ready to deliver her babies. This is a woman shelter director that did this. How can people be so heartless?

Hope all is good with you and family!!!! Sorry I've been so caught up in this stuff I have neglected my lj friends badly. :(

But I still loves ya lots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
