Just got in Tracy's latest (third album), "Blink the Brightest", and let me tell you, it seriously rocks. If you know her at all, you likely know her from her 1996 album, "The Burdens of Being Upright", with minor hits "Mother, Mother" and "The One". That's how I first got into Tracy.... I heard "The One" on the radio, and thought it shared serious thematic roots with The Beatles' "Cry Baby Cry". So I bought it, and loved it. I didn't find out about her 2000 album "Down Here" until 2002, when I thought "Hey, whatever happened to her?" and looked it up. It was also a great album, if apparently seriously underappreciated.
The new one just came out last month, and it's wonderful.... really. Probably will be ignored by the mainstream as most good music is. Highly recommended.
