wow, Eva! This is so fitting because I JUST finishing pressing send to be an organ donor! I couldn't believe how EASY it was! For some reason, I assumed I was already registered, then when I found out I wasn't, I was shocked. I registered, then sent an email to my family, letting them know how easy it is. It takes me more time to figure out what to wear, then it did for me to register....that easy. Thank you, Eva, for everything you are doing to raise awareness. It is definitely working! Jillian
With Lupus there isn't going to be a whole lot left at my end, but I was happy in the realization that my corneas will go to someone that needs them.
I promised mine to my beloved MIL, but I am hoping she has others before I can actually give mine. I love her so much, but she needs surgery next year and um...I would like a coupla' more years. eh?
In the US it is a beauty that you can check the box on your driver's license that says you are a donor - so they know.
Take care Eva - and easy breathing for you sweetheart :)
I'm not a donor. But I will me on Monday. I never really thought one person could make a difference and I'm so sickly my organs may be no good to someone else, but if there's a chance I could save someone like you one day, it's not worth not filling out the card.
i'm healthy and keep myself that way... i hope that if something horrible happens to me that my healthy organs can go to someone (or someones, plural) who needs them.
