I got bamboozled by 4 year olds :(
This morning I had 2 hours to spend at a kindergarten. I did a 45 minute lesson with about 40 kids, and afterwards was play time with everyone. At one point I was led over to the sandbox with a piece of cardboard lying in the middle (obviously covering a hole they dug). They told me to step on it, and I decided to play along, figuring it would be like 5 or 6 inches deep at most. So I put my foot on it and promptly fall into a hole that went above my knee. :(
The other wacky event for the day was after school, where I had a meeting with the head of the PTA. Apparently her 4th grader had written a letter to Santa and asked for a hoofprint from Rudolph (last year she got Santa's autograph). So the mother went to one of the local high schools and somehow managed to get a hoofprint from their pet(?) cow, and had me write a simple English message from Santa (since Rudolph is obviously a reindeer and can't write). My only hope is that she doesn't compare the handwriting to her letter from last year. :P
