So, so long. So many new projects ...
But today I am just going to talk about my writing ones.
I WROTE A NOVEL.
Well, a manuscript. Apparently it's not a novel till someone publishes it. It's a Solarpunk thing (Google it if you haven't heard of that yet), and a bit of an action spy-fi thing, and it was LOTS of fun to write, and I'm editing it now. 120,000 words of revision pain. But it's going well.
I did a writing course, after completing the novel and getting some feedback from friends. All about structuring and crafting good sentences. So that has opened my eyes, and given me heaps of avenues to approach the re-write with. Can't recommend Ramy Tadros' Creative Non-Fiction Writing course enough. Good fun, too.
And so now I am thinking about self publishing. But I'd want to build a little publishing empire first: I'm thinking a short story e-zine.
Would any of you out there have a Fantasy, or Sci-Fi, or Horror, or Weird short story lying around that you'd want to submit to such a thing? I'd be paying 15% of the e-zine's income.
