HELP!
Alright, I know I am going to cop a pasting for this, but....
My computer MUST be one of those flooding the internet (and probably therefore my friends) with spam, because it is running really slowly and has for a while and has no virus protection, and no firewall, and I have NEVER updated my windows.
There is a reason for all this.
Basically, the computer is very old. The tower, maybe 6-7 years, and the monitor 14yrs.
The modem is a more recent 56k (around 3-4 years old).
And all of the software on it is what we shall choose to call "borrowed".
It is installed from original disks, or copies therof, and therefore had the original serial numbers, but was just not registered online.

My question to any of you folks who would liek to help me out there, is:
What (apart from buying a new computer and starting from scratch- which is more than a plan, once I have the time and money) can I do to fix all this?
