I just read this article on the SMH website.
http://www.smh.com.au/technology/biz-tech/qantas-censors-anticensorship-ad-20090714-djgo.html Interesting but not entirely unexpected. The thing I'm left wondering on is, is this a good thing? Front page of www.smh.com.au is giving GetUp a run of their add. I'm not sure the details on GetUp exactly but as I understand it they're non-profit so Sensordyne posturing could give them more attention from this whole ordeal and I can't see that sensordyne would consider legal action except in the "pull your add and don't use it again" in which case everyone knows it'll appear on youtube for weeks while youtube tries to control it and then everyone gives up because the entire world has seen it.
All in all as long as GetUp don't get shut down due to a law suit and spend all the donation money on putting the ad somewhere other than Quantas, I think this is a win.
