(ooc-I look at this piccieand that is what I got. Go figure)

32 B.C. A year before the Battle of Actium:

A very drunk Eros…

“So, what do you think of this place they call Rome,” Dionysos asks as they sit invisible upon busy docks where Rome’s busy trade is being carried out. He looks at Eros with an exasperated leer-grin. The boy is truly being an irritable Erote over some thing or other tonight.

Eros makes a Phfft sound before taking another pull from the wineskin.

“Well, at least some of us, like Hestia, made smooth transition. Not much changed for…Cupid! They call me Cupid and think I am a brattish cherub with no common sense! You! You get Bacchus and …women, even a few men. What do I get? Oooh, Ahhh, and how cute and meddlesome the son of Venus is? They de-sexed me! What kind of name is Venus?!?! I bet mother is aggravated beyond…What? What?

“Mmmmm, but you still get some adoration and I do believe you mother is pleased that they worship and revere her even if the names have changed just a tad. And you have Psyche, you inebriated git.” Dionysos laughs and smacks Eros playfully upside the head as they share a wine sack.

“Oh yeah…” Tactfully, he refrains from mentioning his early exploits against the god of wine.

“Think they will ever get off the ground and become a “real” empire?”

Dionysos steals the winesack back from Eros. “Stranger things have happened, little cherub.” He snorts and laughs just before Eros pushes him into the water.
