Reminder and Plea for Help

Okay, now I need your help. What are some of your favorite VERBS?
Just a quick definition just in case you need it after your weekend of writing: A word that indicates an action, event, or state. The word “speak” is an English verb. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/verb
I'm looking for some really good verbs that make you sit up and take notice when you think about it or read it. Like... DESTROY. That verb literally rips its way out of your mouth when you read it out loud. It's a lovely word. Truly lovely.
