I found this
WRITERS COMPANION on my Google+ board and thought I better share it! This is like every single book on writing all condensed down into two sheets of paper.
Here's how I reacted to it and I suggest you do something similar:
Open up the main post and then click on the picture.
Stare at the picture as my brain goes numb.
Close the picture.
Breathe.
Read the explanation on the main post.
Squee because there is a tiny picture at the top of that first page. PICTURES! I CAN DO PICTURES! (I'm five years old that way)
Print out the sheets.
Realize that the paper setting is on Vertical and not Horizontal.
Breathe.
Resize paper and print again.
Stare at paper in fascination.
Breathe.
Turn paper on its side and realize there are fun things that go sideways.
Breathe.
Let one bolded section capture my interest
Circle it with a fun colored marker.
Put paper down.
Repeat the last three several times until the initial heart palpitations decrease.
This is sort of a massive document to look at right at the beginning of something like NaNo but it has some gems in it that might help. Give it a glance and, if nothing else, remember that it's there for later.
But, most of all, remember to breathe.
(Reposted to my main journal so I apologize for some of you seeing it twice)
