“It’s not a fair world, yo,” Reno said as he nursed his drink.
Zack shrugged, downing his shot. “Not yet, buddy,” he said conspiringly, putting his arm around Reno’s shoulder. “It will be someday, though.”
Reno downed the rest of his bottle of beer before shooting an incredulous look at Zack. “You’re too optimistic,” Reno muttered, not quite drunk yet but too far gone to move Zack’s arm away.
Zack crinkled his nose before pulling Reno into a headlock. “I’m not optimistic! I will own the world someday!” Zack announced, sounding a bit drunk with a small slur at the end of his exclamation.
“Eh? Who talked about owning the world, yo?” Reno questioned as he tried to get out of Zack’s headlock.
“You did!”
Reno pushed away from Zack, almost falling off his stool. “Did not!”
“You did! A Fair world!” Zack said with a grin. “And I’m Fair.”
Reno shook his head. “Ugh, man, your logic is even more screwy when you’re drunk,” he muttered as he pulled off his goggles, that had seemed to be tight with all the alcohol going to his head.
Zack planted a kiss on Reno’s cheek. “Aw, you know you’d love a Fair world!” Zack exclaimed, giggling a bit.
Reno wiped his cheek where Zack had kissed him. “Zack, you’re way too affectionate of a drunk,” Reno stated just before Zack grinned.
Zack shrugged. “All’s Fai-”
“No more Fair puns!” Reno exclaimed, standing up angrily as Zack pouted.
“Aw, that’s not Fair...”
